What To Do for Fast Recovery From Over Worked Muscles and Pain
I have never fractured a bone in my body and thought “OMG this really hurts!” So instead of going to the emergency room, which most normal people would do (you know I am not the norm) I took action and did everything from praying, visualization, affirmations to get expedite the healing. Yep I know I am not normal. Within 48 hours the pain level went from a 9.5 to 2.0.
So this is what I did:
#1 Cryotherapy:
Ice my neck several times through the day
Cold shower – to help with pain and inflammation
#2 Supplements:
Turmeric- 1.5 to 2.5 mg
Omega 3’s - 4 to 5 g/daily
L-glutamine – 2 to 3 g/daily
Magnesium – 200 to 400 mg/daily
Potassium – 35 mg/hourly
#3 Chiropractic Adjustment
Hands on treatment to realign the vertebrae in the neck
#4 Physical therapy:
Electrical stimulation and ultrasound to help relax muscles prior to adjustment
#5 Epsom Salt soak with essential oils:
Lavender – calming effect
Peppermint- anti-inflammatory, pain relieving
Sage – anti-inflammatory, circulatory stimulant
Wintergreen – anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, analgesic/anesthetic
Rosemary - anti-inflammatory, mental clarity and concentration
#6 Anti-inflammatory diet
Organic vegetables
Small amount of organic fruit
Sustainably raised animal products (hormone free, free range, pastured raised)
Wild caught fish
Bone broth
