Is Easy Always Good?
Why is that we wish life to be easy?
Marriage to be easy?
Raising kids to be easy?
Getting healthy to be easy?
Losing weight to be easy?
Why do you wish for everything to be easy?
Why don’t you wish for YOU to be better?
Think about that?
If you ever see an ad or ever hear someone promising you that you can lose weight fast with little effort or make money very easy…..RUN!!!
If anyone is trying to sell you an easy fix for problems that have taken years to develop, they are full of CRAP.
The person selling you the lotion, potion, powder, new program, blah, blah, blah is taking you for a ride. Or should I say taking your pocket book for a ride.
Why?
Truth bomb: you’re too lazy and scared to put in the effort/work.
Ouch!! That wasn’t easy for me to say but I need to speak my truth.
Imagine if you put the same amount of time and effort looking for a quick fix, overnight success in something and instead spent that same amount of time on being the best version of you, what would your life be like? Who would you be?
There is no secret to success. Or is there?
Well actually the secret to success is work, commitment, getting up when you fall, trying a new way and being true to yourself.
So what have you learned so far as we begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel with the pandemic?
Did you change?
Did you become better?
Did you re-evaluate your life?
Will you return to how things were?
Did you re-invent yourself?
I am going to be real and transparent here.
The last few weeks there have been many tears, fear, despair, suicidal thoughts (yes you heard right), wondering why can’t I just leave this God forsaken place? So many highs and lows, kind of how I flow.
Then there was a shift. It happened on a podcast that I picked to be live on the air. (I will share this in our upcoming podcast)
So you see, one person created a ripple effect for something so positive in my life and pushed me to continue to seek the best version of me. I had so many people reach out and as a result of a simple conversation I am finally going to launch a podcast. Something on my dream board for years.
I am finally launching the various online programs that have been tucked away in my dropbox files. (We start one of them next week)
And I want to share these with you because what if you are the person, that I was a few weeks ago? The one with the tears, the suicidal thoughts, wanting to check out, seeing no way out and your life transformed into something beautiful?
One person. That’s it. Just one person. What if that’s you!
I invite you to join us for Wellness Wednesdays Inspiration at www.facebook.com/drlindamarquez @ 1pm PST, to empower you, optimize your health so that you can be the best version of you!
Maybe, just maybe I may not be the person that directly impacts 1 million people, but what if YOU are the person that impacts 1 million people to be better versions of themselves………..
All those years I have spent on wishing things would just be easier, I should have spent on just becoming better. I think Jim Rohn said it best.
“Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problem, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenge, wish for more wisdom.” – Jim Rohn
