Stop Fighting for Excuses!
I think one of the biggest frustrations in the wellness field is that people make so many excuses in choosing to be sick, tired, overweight, irritable and depressed. Typical excuses include...I don't have enough money. I don't have enough time. It costs too much to be healthy, I don't know how to cook healthy meals. I have kids. My husband doesn't support me. Blah! Blah! Blah!
I can help you find a reason of why you can change your life for every reason you provide stating you can't. One of the exercises I have my practice members do is write out what they want for their health and why.
If you have a goal to lose weight and look good in a bathing suit it's more of a superficial reason. If you have a goal to lose weight so that you can have more energy to spend with the family, healthy so that you can use your gifts and talents to serve your community, more confidence so that you can do things with expectation of success instead of failure, then you and mankind will benefit from change.
If the reason and your why isn't great enough, then your excuses as to why you can't do it will be right. If you approach it to have an affair with your goal, then you will see incredible results. When two people can't wait to see each other secretly after work on the weekends or whenever, they make it happen no matter what! If we approached our goals with the same enthusiasm and desire, imagine what life would be like...
