DIY Hand Sanitizer

If you're like me you are on the hunt for hand sanitizer, you are probably out of luck. So I thought why not make my own. If I can make my own toothpaste, hand sanitizer shouldn't be too hard. It just takes some creativity and I had what I needed. Let's give it a try......

Now you can be at ease and make your own hand sanitizer with a pleasant smell of essential oils like Young Living Lavender and Thieves.

Prep time: 2 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • Rubbing alcohol

  • Aloe vera gel

  • Essential oils

  • Glass bottle for mixing

  • Empty cleaned soap bottle

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Fill 2/3 of the glass bottle with rubbing alcohol

  2. Add approximately 15 drops of essential oils per every 2 ounces (Lavender and Thieves are my favorites)

  3. Top of the bottle with aloe vera gel

  4. Transfer to the soap bottle (more convenient and safe in case you drop the bottle)

Note: an effective hand sanitizer must be alcohol based. You may even try vodka instead of rubbing alcohol. I haven't tried it so let me know.......
